Auto & General’s motivation for the Fraud and Ethics line is that insurance fraud is a common occurrence that affects all policy holders, not only locally in South Africa but globally. People in general do not regard insurance fraud and unethical behaviour in short-term insurance as serious, but it is so serious that it affects your and my premium and the credibility of innocent people.

Auto & General takes a very serious stance on dishonest and unethical behaviour as we would like to continue to offer our clients the best service and the most competitive insurance premiums. We wouldn’t want this type of behaviour to impact on our clients.

It is therefore in your and my interest to report any suspicious behaviour, unauthentic claims, anything and everything that you believe constitutes fraud and unethical behaviour that you might have witnessed or heard about somewhere.
