The Diepsloot Foundation is a cause that we have supported for years - the work they do inspires and brings about positive change.

The Diepsloot Foundation was established in 2008, the core purpose of this Foundation is to be a credible service provider and funding vehicle for Corporate Socio-Economic Development (CSI), Skills and Enterprise Development projects that are focused on empowerment and uplifting of the Diepsloot Community, through formal education and training. This includes Early Childhood Development (ECD), Adult Education (AET), and Skills Training.

Following a lull due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Foundation has moved back to normal operations. This year, The Diepsloot Foundation has been focused on:

• Recruiting prospective students for all programme areas.

• Assessing prospective students for programme suitability.

• Registering successful students.

This year, The Foundation will be offering computer skills training across all programmes instead of it being an isolated programme. Strategically, The Diepsloot Foundation will be phasing out adult education and training (AET) in favour of skills, career, and entrepreneurship-focused short courses. The aim is to instil and cultivate business skills and acumen among students so they can create their own businesses.

The Diepsloot Foundation is also venturing into renewable energy using biogas as a more sustainable, environmentally friendly energy alternative. The aim is to build a biogas plant, fuelled by biodegradable waste, that will supply biogas to the community of Diepsloot.
