The title of ‘best’ is something we strive for, something we work hard to achieve and have been trusted to provide since 1985. For the second year running, this commitment has been recognised with the announcement that Auto & General was voted as the Best of the Best in the recent Readers’ Choice Awards – in two categories.

 

The annual awards sees The Star newspaper readers voting for their favourite businesses, service providers or items in various categories. Votes are then tallied to reveal who is tops in terms of excellence and quality of service, showing which brands consumers trust the most.

 

Winning the Best Personal Insurance and Best Business Insurance Company categories is an honour and privilege and we would like to take this opportunity to thank all the readers who voted for us and those who have placed their trust in us for so many years.

 

According to our Head of Auto & General, Ricardo Coetzee: “Since 1985, we have refined the way we do things to ensure certainty for our customers and Broker partners. We have eliminated doubt when it comes to customer-centricity, service-reliability and claims certainty. And these two awards prove that we are keeping to our promise.”

At Auto & General, certainty and trust are not hollow words – they are backed by a Service Promise, which offers our customers’ the right to exceptional service, without any doubt. If, for whatever reason, we are unable to keep a promise we have made to our customers, we’ll pay them a self-imposed penalty fee.

To ensure that we address this concern, we developed our Service Promise, which is based on research into the real needs of customers. The promises include having access to a dedicated claims consultant throughout their claims process; their vehicle being repaired right the first time, and having assistance in an emergency, 24/7. Auto & General have also launched a claims certainty guide which details the steps to take to ensure an insurance claim is honoured,” says Coetzee. “In fact, we are committed to paying 100% of valid claims.
